About Us

Our Mission:

Growing Hearts and Minds Through Faith and Discovery.

Our Philosophy:

At Little Learners Lodge, we believe that every child is a unique creation of God, capable of extraordinary growth when nurtured in a loving, respectful, and purposeful environment. Guided by the Montessori philosophy and grounded in Christian values, we cultivate a learning space where children can explore, discover, and develop at their own pace—spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and physically.

We honor the innate curiosity of potential within each child by providing hands-on experiences that promote independence, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Through a carefully prepared environment, our educators serve as guides-observing, supporting, and encouraging each child’s journey while fostering responsibility, kindness, and a deep sense of wonder.

Faith is at the heart of our community. We integrate Biblical truths, daily devotions, and character-building lessons into our curriculum, helping children grow in their understanding of God’s love and their role in His creation.

Our goal is to partner with families in laying a strong foundation for a child’s future—where faith and education walk hand-in-hand to nurture both the heart and mind.

Peace of Mind

You can have peace of mind knowing:

-All staff are put through State and Federal background checks.

-All staff are First Aid and CPR certified.

-All staff are trauma informed, with ongoing education in child development and trauma informed decision making.

Discipline Policy:

“Guiding Children with Grace and Purpose”

At Little Learners Lodge, discipline is viewed not as punishment, but as an opportunity to teach and guide children toward self-control, responsibility, and empathy. We believe that every child is deserving of dignity and respect, and that their behavior is a form of communication.

Our approach is rooted in:

-Montessori principles, which emphasize freedom within limits, natural consequences, and intrinsic motivation.

-Christian values, which call us to model patience, kindness, forgiveness, and love in all interactions.

Our Goals:

-To help children develop inner discipline and self-regulation

-To build respectful relationships between child, teachers, and peers

-To foster a peaceful and cooperative classroom environment

-To support children in resolving conflicts independently and compassionately

Our Strategies:

-Clear consistent expectations and age-appropriate boundaries

-Modeling respectful behavior and problem-solving

-Offering choices within safe, structured limits

-Encouraging children to reflect on their actions and make amends when needed

When Additional Support is Needed:

If a child’s behavior is disruptive, harmful, or consistently challenges classroom harmony, we will:

1)Observe and document the behavior for patterns and triggers

2)Meet with parents to discuss concerns and collaborate on support strategies

3)Develop a personalized plan to guide the child’s development

Physical punishment, shaming, or harsh discipline are never used. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where each child feels loved, secure, and respected.
